Dr. Melesha Scates was raised in Nashville, TN.
She graduated from McGavock High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a minor in chemistry from Austin Peay State University. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine and was a part of the inaugural graduating class!
Dr. Scates' veterinary interests include internal medicine and preventive care, and she is passionate about client education. She loves taking the time to speak with owners and making sure they understand everything about their "fur babies."
Dr. Scates is also a Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. member and enjoys bonding with her sorority sisters and volunteering within the community. She also enjoys spending time with her son and two loving Pit Bulls, Drake and Titan. Dr. Scates looks forward to meeting clients and their furry family members to provide the best care!
